Project Background

What exactly do symbols mean to us? Humans have them before words, and these things have even been deeply embedded in our genetic genes and preserved to this day. With this behaviour and method, the level is far higher than Noah's Ark. We can define Noah's Ark as an archive of the continuation of life, which can make civilisation continue. According to research, the earliest human fossils discovered existed 150,000 years ago, while the initial civilisation discovery was 10,000 years ago. No evolutionary or civilisational relics of humans have been found in the 100,000 years. And there are 6,500 years from the earliest Suma civilisation, which is equivalent to saying that it took only these times for humans to develop into what they are now. It means that 100,000 years is enough to allow us to create many civilisations. Experts believe that humans have evolved many times, but the high-end civilisation development many times before was finally wholly destroyed, so no trace was left.

 

Many DNA storage databases exist, so what can store civilisation's data?

 

Therefore, I mainly discuss how to preserve the civilisation of today's society. There are many methods of gene preservation today, but no one pays attention to the protection of culture. As far as I know, all storage methods require human maintenance. Simple techniques such as USB and CD will also expire and oxidise. During the current COVID-19, we are forced to stay in the house, and thousands of people have died from the virus. For all these disasters poured out like a flood, and how should we preserve the traces of our existence? How can we record our present state and let it exist in the future like a symbol in a limited device environment?
Moreover, It is undeniable that religious belief is essential to people. It is the beginning of human civilisation and the driving force of social progress. Although roughly the same from ancient to the present, many interpretation methods differ. Using the new generation's concept to explain the myth isn't another way to make a record. The image of the embroidery hoops reminds me of a petri dish in a laboratory. The entire universe is like a laboratory for God, and every planet is a petri dish in a laboratory. Everything on the earth is watched as bacteria in a petri dish. The pattern in each embroidery hoop is a small world that should be narrated; just like people who are forced to stay at home because of the pandemic, they should be valued. As a result, We can know the world's origin from Genesis or other religions' faith and get some information from the evolution of genes in the unconscious. I made about narrative Genesis with seven different Round Embroidery Hoops. Sewing together the origami to create images and also combining with other materials.
